SoulseekQt hasn't had a new version in years (especially on Linux), so I don't know the state of things. It has worked for me great for years on my Windows Vista OS. There's been so many subtle bugs in the official client that take months to get fixed or noticed, and there's a lot of slow or unoptimized aspects (like re-scanning without restarting). I just woke up after sleeping since about 2pm CST.
