Will the PCs be brave enough to sneak behind enemy lines and sabotage its precious products? Can they free the enslaved blacksmiths and kidnap or kill the dark enchanters who enhance the weapons? If they can take Steel Hill, will they destroy it from within, or will they try to capture it in a desperate attempt to gain an armory for the forces of good? In the battles ahead, many eyes will turn toward the Forge of Shadow. This makes Steel Hill one of Izrador’s most valued strongholds, and one of his few weaknesses. No matter how many orcs the dark lord breeds, he cannot keep his enemies in check if his soldiers bear no weapons and their backs are unarmored. Despite their overwhelming numbers and their dark spells, Izrador’s forces are not all-powerful. It is called Steel Hill, and it is the Forge of Shadow. At the heart of his army is a dark forge where slaves and sorcerers labor day and night to equip the orcish hordes with weapons, armor and equipment. You can earn way more kills in Map 3 with just about any trap type easily for upgrades.The dark lord Izrador has conquered the free lands of Eredane with merciless magic and savage steel. Map 3 doesn’t have any archers, and does have a whole lot of orcs. You won’t get as many skulls per run, but you can still get them consistently. You can play through Scramble for a good earning rate, or you can replay Map 3 over and over. If you’re sick of trying to get Perfect on levels, there are a few other ways to earn skulls. You’ll get a first-time completion bonus for each difficulty level separately, so switch to Normal and try to aim for the Perfect Bonus when you’re ready after going through the Easy levels. Playing on Easy also makes this a breeze, and you can do it for each level in order from the beginning. Once you’ve upgraded your traps a little, you can go back to master earlier levels with much less effort. This is much easier to do if you’ve made it further into the game. Just start at the first level, then play the second, third, etc. You’ll earn 5 Skulls + extra for each level you complete on Easy w/ Perfect.

In fact, its basically required if you want to get the maximum and fully upgrade your stuff. Some of us don’t even consider playing on other difficulty levels, but that’s the key to earning the most skulls. Thankfully, there are easier ways to earn skulls.
To do that, you’ll need to collect skulls - and if you don’t get perfect scores in missions, you’ll basically get no skulls at all. Orcs Must Die! 3 can really kick your butt if you haven’t upgraded your traps enough.
